HC28 maison is the umbrella brand uniting HC28, HC28 Cosmo, HC28 SPACE, and HC28 Café into a complete lifestyle ecosystem. From high-end design furniture to modular cabinet system customization, the brand delivers total solutions for immersive living experiences.

Collaborating with world-renowned designers including Yabu Pushelberg, Marcel Wanders, Christophe Delcourt, Pearson Lloyd, Steve Leung, and Masayuki Kurokawa, HC28 maison blends global vision with Asian sensibilities to create designs that are timeless, versatile, and relevant across cultures.

Since its founding in 2007, HC28 has grown from its roots in Beijing into an internationally recognized brand with over 100 mono-brand stores across China and 30+ overseas outlets.

Its award-winning collections have been honored with the iF Award, Red Dot Design Award, EDIDA, Archiproducts Design Award and featured in leading media such as Wallpaper*, AD, and ELLE Decoration, etc.

Founded by Jianwei Li

First furniture factory located 28 kilometers away from the Forbidden City.

Opening the first HC28 store: Cofco Plaza in Beijing and 228 Faubourg St-Honore in Paris.

Launch of TOY stool renowned example of the lacquering technique of the brand.

First branding campaign – “the chopstick”

Debut of the first full collection TEATRO by Luca Scacchetti, covering the home solution for living room; dining room; bedroom; and study.

Steve Leung joined the design team and launched his signature collection PIANPIAN.

2016 - The iconic collection BOLD by Fran Chou, was launched, alone with the slogan "Be Bold, Never Regular."

2017 - CLARA dining table launched with many award nominations. "Poetic Living" became the brands slogan.

Debut of the HC28 COSMO brand.

HC28 made bold strides in design. BUFA won both Red Dot and iF awards, while the “Live Bold” ethos launched with HC28 Cosmo. ORIGAMI followed with another Red Dot win, celebrating Eastern aesthetics. That same year, TWISTY—a pioneering AI-designer collaboration—marked a new chapter in innovation.

The debut of HC28 SPACE and its “Panoramic Design” concept signaled a shift from product design to integrated spatial solutions. Its modular system connects architecture, interiors, and furniture into seamless, personalized spaces with a unified design language.
