HC28 maison’s JUNNUO Dining Table Wins EDIDA China “Best Furniture Design of the Year”
The EDIDA (ELLE DECORATION International Design Awards) China winners were announced recently. Known for its editorial-led selection and global influence, the award follows a consistent process: each of the 25 worldwide editions of ELLE DECORATION nominates regional works, and the Editors-in-Chief jointly vote for the final list. This year, 11 of the 16 China-category awards went to Chinese designers and brands. HC28 maison’s new 2025 release, the JUNNUO Dining Table, was honored with the “Best Furniture Design of the Year” award for its sculptural expression and precise design resolution.
Drawing from the beam-and-column logic of traditional architecture, the JUNNUO table translates structural order into a softened, contemporary form. Rounded masses replace rigid architectural vocabulary, introducing a quiet emotional tone into the composition. The design reflects Yabu Pushelberg’s approach—using architectural language as a medium for sensibility and reinterpreting local culture through a global lens. The table becomes not just a functional object but an emotional presence within the home.
HC28 maison founder Jianwei LI accepted the award on behalf of the brand, noting: “This recognition affirms our 18-year commitment to original design. We hope Chinese design will not only be seen but also shape perspectives with its own voice.” The brand will continue advancing Chinese contemporary furniture on the international stage through originality, craftsmanship, and an integrated design vision.
